With the Saudi summer set to involve unplayable temperatures and the World Cup going to 48 teams, however, the accommodation of the tournament is set to require far greater upheaval than that for the long and controversial build-up to Qatar in 2022 lottery
Sources within a series of major leagues around the planet are furious about how they just have not been involved in any discussions about this lottery

Fifa would argue they have conformed to all of their statutes since each of the continental confederations approved the decisions at Council, with those representing the member associations, and all the bidding documents having been made public lottery
“It sums up everything that is wrong with lottery football governance,” one senior league figure said privately, with others adding how the lack of transparency feels “worse than for 2022” lottery

There is meanwhile a belief that Saudi Arabia could yet bring in other countries to share some of the games, since it will be a 48-team tournament, and the idea of involving Egypt, Greece and other countries around the geographical region has already been raised lottery

Sam Cane has said that he will carry the pain of his Rugby World Cup final sending off with him forever after New Zealand were beaten by South Africa lottery
All Blacks captain Cane became the first player to be sent off in a men’s World Cup final after making direct contact to the head of Springboks centre Jesse Kriel during the first half lottery
